Brantford Minor Hockey is very pleased to offer the Toronto Maple Leafs First Shift program for a seventh consecutive season. Registration opens on Monday, June 3 at Noon at www.firstshift.ca. First Shift is open to boys and girls ages 6-10*, who have not previously registered for hockey. (* To be eligible to participate, children must be born between January 1, 2014 and May 1, 2019.)

The Brantford Minor Hockey Association will hold its Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, June 19 at Lions Park Auditorium.   BMHA is now accepting Notices of Motion and Board of Directors Nominations from its membership.    Completed forms must be received by May 21, 2024 at 5 pm by BMHA Secretary Pete Hogarth ([email protected]) and BMHA General Manager Kevin Murray ([email protected]) via email or at the BMHA office by hard copy.

With tremendous participation from our Brantford Minor Hockey Association (BMHA) players, volunteers, donors, and community as a whole, we are extremely proud of the success generated from our second annual BMHA Hockey Fights Cancer (HFC) Day. Following a 12-game event in 2022 which raised $21K, this year’s 23-game event shattered our goal and raised over $60K.  All proceeds will be donated directly to both the Canadian Cancer Society and Stedman Community Hospice. 

RESPECT IN SPORT — PARENT VERSION OHF & Alliance now requires that a parent or guardian from each household complete the online Respect In Sport Parent Program. This applies to all players born in 2004 or later (2004, 2005, 2006, and so on). When registering for the online course your certification will be linked to your child(ren)'s Hockey Canada profile(s). In preparation for Spring Tryouts, one parent or guardian from each household is asked to complete the online course. If you have already taken the course previously with Alliance or OMHA you are OK.
